I am currently assembling a my annual collection of Rotten Apples in Education Awards and came across your piece on Blaming the Messenger in connect with TAKS cheating.
During the course of this scandal someone–maybe a board member in Dallas–accused Caveon, the company hired to investigate, of overstating the problem because it was in their financial interest to do so. Cannot currently locate an article about that. Do you recall it?

Sorry, I don’t recall that article. The Dallas Morning News had the most coverage of the issue and Jim Nelson the superintendent of Richardson, was one of the loudest critics of the process.
