Silly me.

Just out of curiosity I've been trying to figure out how much money is spent in football in high schools going through TEA data. I haven't had much luck so far. You can find out the percentage of money spent on athletics at the district level but it doesn't show up at the campus level. And you can find out program spending for athletics, gifted and talented, and other programs but for some reason, they don't list the number of students participating in athletics although they do for the other programs.

I can already hear it, "well it's hard to isolate specific funding since coaches also teach and the track team does use the football stadium..." But for some reason, they are always able to list the number of athletic scholarships the players have received and how much money is brought in by ticket sales.
